About

Megan ‘MK’ Warren is an interdisciplinary artist, gardener, and coordinator, with a focus in community education, programs, and events.

As a gardener and outdoor educator her areas of focus are on youth education, senior engagement experiences, and food growing and literacy. She currently works as an Eco Instructor at High Park in Toronto, and volunteers with Parkbus, hiking trails in provincial parks in Ontario.

Her creative work largely revolves around the use of fibre arts, botanicals, found objects and other mixed-media assemblage to create 3-dimensional artworks, decor, and crafts. She has planned and facilitated workshops for all ages with the City of Toronto, East End Arts, Davenport-Perth Neighbourhood Services, Saje Natural Wellness, and others. Additionally, she’s been involved in the execution and installation of art, decor, and decorative structures for events of all scales, including weddings at Evergreen Brickworks and Casa Loma, to One of a Kind vendor booths.

She has a Bachelors of Design in Fibre and Material Arts from OCAD University, and certificates in Horticulture, and Arts Education and Community Engagement from Humber and Centennial colleges. In her personal time she enjoys hiking, singing and performing with City Choir Toronto.
